Key Information About This Subsidy
The objective of the DIMOP Plus-1.1.2.B-24 subsidy program is to support digital research and development (R&D) projects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Hungary. Eligible projects include digital R&D initiatives aimed at developing new software products and services utilizing advanced technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, big data, 5G/6G, quantum computing, blockchain, XR, etc.).
Eligible Applicants
Within the DIMOP Plus grant framework, SMEs can submit a funding application, while large enterprises can participate in a consortium.
SUBMISSION PERIOD
Applications for funding can be submitted between April 4, 2024, and May 6, 2025.
AVAILABLE SUBSIDY
• The minimum subsidy amount that can be requested is HUF 50 million.
• The maximum subsidy amount that can be requested is HUF 250 million.
ADVANCE PAYMENT
Applicants can request an advance payment of up to 50% of the granted subsidy.
FORM OF SUBSIDY
The grant provided under the DIMOP Plus program is a non-repayable subsidy.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AREA
The research and development project can be implemented anywhere in Hungary.

Costs related to lump-sum-based financing
Digital R&D projects that aim to develop new software products and services utilizing advanced technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence, big data, 5G/6G, quantum computing, blockchain, XR, etc.) are eligible for funding.
PROJECT DURATION
The project must be physically completed within a maximum of 24 months from its start date.
MAINTENANCE PERIOD
The required maintenance period is 24 months.
TOTAL BUDGET
The total budget of the DIMOP Plus-1.1.2.B-24 program is HUF 28 billion.
NUMBER OF FUNDED PROJECTS
A minimum of 112 projects and a maximum of 200 projects are expected to receive funding.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
At least three closed business years
In the last closed business year, an average workforce of at least five employees and a minimum revenue of HUF 50 million
The implementation site must be a registered headquarters, site, or branch office for at least one year
The requested subsidy amount cannot exceed the company’s equity from the last closed business year
The total project cost cannot exceed the revenue of the last closed business year
The dividends approved by the company in the last three closed business years must not exceed 50%
of the sum of the net profits from those years and the retained earnings from the business year preceding them
Expert opinion from the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NKFIH)
Eligible Costs:
R&D-related costs (e.g., personnel expenses, depreciation of project-related assets, material costs, etc.)
Acquisition of tangible assets and intangible goods
Costs related to obtaining, validating, and protecting patents and other intellectual property rights
KEY COMMITMENTS
The project results must generate revenue equivalent to at least 20% of the subsidy amount within 24 months after project completion.
The applicant (or in the case of a consortium, the lead consortium member) commits that the developed product, technology, or service will reach at least TRL 9 (Technology Readiness Level 9) by the end of the implementation period.
The applicant (or lead consortium member) commits to filing for a European Union trademark and/or design protection with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) before the physical completion of the supported project to facilitate market entry.EUIPO).
