From January 1, 2024, a new favorable state aid measure opens up for companies with foreign subsidiaries, where Hungarian companies with foreign subsidiaries can be beneficiaries.
The incentive is available throughout Hungary, excluding Budapest. The condition is the implementation of an investment starting from 3/5/10 million euros, depending on the location, or the establishment of a regional service center employing at least 10 people in 2024, along with dividend payments to the domestic company during the mandatory operational period.
The dividend payments constitute the main criterion for determining the amount of state aid, which cannot exceed 30 million euros per project. In this structure, the investor is entitled to draw down 30% of the support as an advance, and a significant advantage is that only authorization letters need to be submitted as security.
