The\u00a0goal\u00a0of\u00a0these\u00a0changes\u00a0remains\u00a0to\u00a0prioritize\u00a0high\u00a0value-added\u00a0activities\u00a0and\u00a0encourage\u00a0competitive,\u00a0innovative\u00a0corporate\u00a0investments. The\u00a0new\u00a0and\u00a0modified\u00a0funding options\u00a0are\u00a0summarized\u00a0below.\u00a0<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>VIP cash incentive funding for\u00a0Complex\u00a0Investments\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Focus\u00a0on\u00a0Efficiency\u00a0and\u00a0Regional\u00a0Development<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2><p>In\u00a0the\u00a0CAPEX-based\u00a0VIP cash incentive program\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/ibsh.hu\/en\/ekd-support-for-large-investments\/\">linked\u00a0to\u00a0tangible\u00a0asset\u00a0investments<\/a>),\u00a0several\u00a0favorable\u00a0changes\u00a0have\u00a0been\u00a0introduced\u00a0for\u00a0companies. The\u00a0new\u00a0regulations\u00a0may\u00a0be\u00a0particularly\u00a0advantageous\u00a0for\u00a0medium-sized\u00a0enterprises,\u00a0while\u00a0also\u00a0imposing\u00a0significant\u00a0performance and\u00a0efficiency\u00a0expectations\u00a0on\u00a0applicants.\u00a0<\/p><p>Under&nbsp;the&nbsp;amendment,&nbsp;projects&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;total&nbsp;value&nbsp;of&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;\u20ac2&nbsp;million&nbsp;may&nbsp;now&nbsp;be&nbsp;eligible&nbsp;for&nbsp;funding in&nbsp;the&nbsp;following&nbsp;counties,&nbsp;excluding&nbsp;county&nbsp;seats: Baranya, B\u00e1cs-Kiskun, B\u00e9k\u00e9s, Borsod-Aba\u00faj-Zempl\u00e9n, Csongr\u00e1d-Csan\u00e1d, Heves, N\u00f3gr\u00e1d, Somogy, Tolna, and Zala.&nbsp;This&nbsp;territorial&nbsp;expansion&nbsp;aims&nbsp;to&nbsp;increase&nbsp;the&nbsp;attractiveness&nbsp;of&nbsp;rural&nbsp;areas&nbsp;for&nbsp;investment.&nbsp;Another&nbsp;important&nbsp;benefit is&nbsp;that&nbsp;small&nbsp;and&nbsp;medium-sized&nbsp;enterprises&nbsp;(SMEs)&nbsp;can&nbsp;request&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;25% of&nbsp;the&nbsp;grant as&nbsp;an&nbsp;advance.&nbsp;<\/p><p>During&nbsp;the&nbsp;maintenance&nbsp;period,&nbsp;companies&nbsp;must&nbsp;increase&nbsp;their&nbsp;revenue&nbsp;by&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;\u20ac15&nbsp;million&nbsp;and&nbsp;their&nbsp;total&nbsp;wage&nbsp;bill&nbsp;by&nbsp;\u20ac2&nbsp;million.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Additionally,&nbsp;applicants&nbsp;must&nbsp;fulfill&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;one&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;following&nbsp;commitments:&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increase&nbsp;wages&nbsp;per&nbsp;employee&nbsp;by&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;30%;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increase&nbsp;revenue&nbsp;per&nbsp;employee&nbsp;by&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;30%;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;25&nbsp;new&nbsp;jobs.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><p>Furthermore,&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;two&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;following&nbsp;commitments&nbsp;must&nbsp;also&nbsp;be&nbsp;met:&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Create&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;10&nbsp;new&nbsp;R&amp;D&nbsp;jobs;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Produce&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;30% of&nbsp;the&nbsp;company\u2019s&nbsp;energy&nbsp;consumption&nbsp;from&nbsp;renewable&nbsp;sources;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increase&nbsp;the&nbsp;number&nbsp;of&nbsp;student&nbsp;employees&nbsp;by&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;10 (dual&nbsp;training,&nbsp;vocational&nbsp;training,&nbsp;university&nbsp;students, etc.);&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Increase&nbsp;R&amp;D&nbsp;expenditures&nbsp;by&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;30%;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ensure&nbsp;that&nbsp;at&nbsp;least&nbsp;30% of&nbsp;products&nbsp;and services&nbsp;come&nbsp;from&nbsp;suppliers&nbsp;within&nbsp;100 km of&nbsp;the&nbsp;investment&nbsp;location;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Establish&nbsp;collaboration&nbsp;with&nbsp;HIPA&nbsp;within&nbsp;the&nbsp;supplier&nbsp;development&nbsp;program.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Detailed\u00a0Overview of the VIP cash incentive program\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; <strong>New R&amp;D\u00a0Funding in Hungary for\u00a0Rural\u00a0R&amp;D\u00a0Centers<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2><p>Simultaneously\u00a0with\u00a0the\u00a0amendments, a\u00a0new\u00a0R&amp;D funding program\u00a0has\u00a0been\u00a0introduced in Hungary,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ibsh.hu\/en\/subsidy-for-the-establishment-of-new-rd-centers-under-the-vip-cash-grant\/\">specifically\u00a0designed\u00a0for\u00a0establishing\u00a0rural\u00a0R&amp;D centers<\/a>. The program is\u00a0available\u00a0to\u00a0large\u00a0companies\u00a0and\u00a0medium-sized\u00a0companies\u00a0employing\u00a0at\u00a0least\u00a050\u00a0people.\u00a0<\/p><p>Applicants&nbsp;may&nbsp;choose&nbsp;to&nbsp;use&nbsp;the&nbsp;grant&nbsp;either&nbsp;for&nbsp;building&nbsp;research&nbsp;infrastructure&nbsp;(including&nbsp;all&nbsp;related&nbsp;equipment)&nbsp;or&nbsp;for&nbsp;personnel&nbsp;costs&nbsp;for&nbsp;newly&nbsp;hired&nbsp;researchers&nbsp;(up&nbsp;to&nbsp;36&nbsp;months).&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>Conditions&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;funding:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Applicable&nbsp;only&nbsp;to&nbsp;research&nbsp;and&nbsp;development&nbsp;activities;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>At&nbsp;least&nbsp;10&nbsp;new&nbsp;R&amp;D&nbsp;jobs&nbsp;must be&nbsp;created;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Applicants&nbsp;must&nbsp;establish&nbsp;an R&amp;D&nbsp;collaboration&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;Hungarian&nbsp;university;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No project&nbsp;certification&nbsp;is&nbsp;required;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No minimum investment&nbsp;amount&nbsp;is&nbsp;specified, and no&nbsp;collateral&nbsp;is&nbsp;required;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>SMEs&nbsp;can&nbsp;also&nbsp;request&nbsp;up&nbsp;to&nbsp;25%&nbsp;advance.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Detailed\u00a0Overview<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>of Improved\u00a0Conditions\u00a0for\u00a0R&amp;D funding in Hungary based on projects<\/strong><\/h2><p>In\u00a0addition\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0program\u00a0for\u00a0establishing\u00a0new\u00a0R&amp;D\u00a0centers,\u00a0the\u00a0conditions\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ibsh.hu\/en\/research-development-support\/\">the\u00a0existing\u00a0R&amp;D VIP cash incentive program<\/a> have\u00a0also\u00a0been\u00a0amended.
