From\u00a0January\u00a01, 2024, for\u00a0Hungarian\u00a0companies\u00a0that\u00a0have\u00a0foreign\u00a0subsidiaries the Hungarian Government will create a\u00a0new Subsidy\u00a0Program in Hungary. The subsidy will be available throughout Hungary (excluding Budapest). Eligibility requires either the implementation of an investment starting in 2024 with a value of \u20ac3 \/ \u20ac5 \/ \u20ac10 million (depending on the location), or the establishment of a regional service center employing at least 10 people. In addition, during the mandatory operation period, dividends must be paid to the Hungarian parent company. This latter requirement is a key factor in determining the amount of the subsidy on a case-by-case basis, which may not exceed \u20ac30 million per project. Within this scheme, investors are entitled to receive 30% of the subsidy as an advance. Another significant advantage is that only authorization letters are required as collateral.
