Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy has announced that the Demján Sándor SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support Program will soon be available again, providing significant development resources to domestic micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The program also supports the purchase of new technological equipment, information and communication developments, renewable energy sources, software, and commercial vehicles.
What can you apply for funding for?
Under the Demján Sándor SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support Program, you can apply for funding for investments in technological development that can be implemented within 12 months.
SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support can be applied for developments such as:
- technological modernization, purchase of machinery and equipment (machinery, tools, work machines, forklifts, etc. necessary for production and services – min. 40% of total costs)
- information and communication technology and digital developments (hardware and software purchases, including cloud-based subscriptions)
- purchase of intangible assets (e.g. manufacturing licenses, know-how – max. 10% of total costs)
- investments utilizing renewable energy (except solar panel systems – max. 50% of total costs)
- purchase of small and large commercial vehicles (max. HUF 25 million net, except for vehicles in categories M and L)
- consulting services (max. 5% of total costs)
- industrial property rights protection (max. 5% of total costs)
How much support can be requested?
Under the Demján Sándor SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support Program, a maximum of HUF 200 million in non-repayable support can be requested, but no more than 50% of the eligible costs.
The support is paid in full in the form of an advance payment.
A condition of the SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Grant is that the investor maintains the investment for three years after its implementation.
The total amount of funding available under the program is expected to be between HUF 30 and 50 billion.
The subsidy requested through the Demján Sándor SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support Program can be combined with interest-subsidized loans or tax breaks, thus offering the possibility of reducing corporate tax liabilities in addition to cash support.
Who can apply?
Small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for the Demján Sándor SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support Program if they:
- Have their registered office or place of business anywhere in Hungary (including Budapest!)
- Have at least 2 full financial years behind them and keep double-entry accounts
- Maintained a minimum statistical headcount of two employees in the last financial year.

No extra guarantees are required; a letter of authorization for the company's bank accounts is sufficient.
When can applications be submitted?
The Demján Sándor SME 1+1 Investment Stimulus Support Program is expected to become available again in October 2025. The exact submission date will be included in the call for applications.
