GINOP Plusz 2.1.1-24

The planned amendment to the "GINOP Plus 2.1.1-24" grant program entitled "Support for Focus Area Innovation Projects" has been published

According to the announcement, the GINOP Plus 2.1.1-24 call for proposals entitled "Support for Focus Area Innovation Projects" is expected to be expanded with two new components and will be available under significantly more favorable conditions.

Under component 'A', smaller projects will be eligible for HUF 100-600 million, while component 'B' is expected to provide support of HUF 600-1,200 million for larger projects:

The dividend requirement as an eligibility criterion is expected to be removed for both components.

What are the main rules of the GINOP Plus 2.1.1-24 tender entitled "Support for Focus Area Innovation Projects"?

The GINOP Plus 2.1.1-24 tender entitled "Support for Focus Area Innovation Projects" is available for R&D projects implemented in one of the following three main focus areas:

  • Supporting preventive, therapeutic, and healthcare systems for maintaining a healthy life
  • Supporting the green transition of the economy and the development of a circular economy, with a special focus on energy and agricultural technologies
    Submission period
    :
  • One of the priorities of the National Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) (Cutting-edge technologies, Health, Digitalization of the economy, Energy, climate, Services, Resource-efficient economy, Agriculture, food industry, Creative industries, Training, education, Innovation in the public sector and universities).

The tender is available to small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies under the following conditions:

  • Throughout Hungary
  • in the case of industrial (applied) research, the aid intensity is 50% (but no more than 80%);
  • in the case of experimental development, the aid intensity is 25% (but not more than 60%);
  • Advance payment: 30%, max. HUF 240 million
  • The project must be physically completed within a maximum of 24 months from its start date.

The following activities are eligible for support under the program:

  • Experimental development
  • Industrial (applied) research
  • Supporting activities related to the R&D project (not independently eligible):
