Subsidy for the Establishment of New R&D Centers under the VIP Cash Grant

Eligible Activities
The program provides an opportunity for companies to receive a subsidy for independent research and development activities, provided that they establish a new R&D center outside of Budapest.
Form and Extent of Subsidy
The amount of the VIP Cash Grant aimed at encouraging the establishment of R&D centers depends on the size of the company and the location of the project:

Commitments
The applicant company must increase the number of employees working on R&D projects by at least 10.
Eligible Costs:
The VIP Cash Grant can cover the following expenses:
Personnel-related expenses: related to newly hired employees, for a period of 24 months per person.
Or
Costs related to the establishment of the R&D center: including land, buildings, equipment required for R&D activities, and the acquisition costs of intangible assets.
Project duration
The duration of the project(s) may be up to 36 months if the company applies for a subsidy related to the creation of new jobs.
MAINTENANCE PERIOD
As a condition of the VIP Cash Grant, the company must maintain the R&D activity and the newly created jobs for at least 5 years in the case of a large enterprise, and at least 3 years in the case of a medium enterprise.
